Blogland is a small world

If you know the history of my site,, then you know that I am relatively new to the world of online retailing, social media and blogs.  But when I began this business I had no idea that “blogland” would be so friendly and, also, so near to my own neighborhood.

I recently connected with Suzanne over at the Painted Drawer and she has generously introduced me to the readers and followers of her own blog.  You can view that post here.

Unlike my newly manufactured products, Suzanne specializes in giving new life to yesterday’s treasures.  Her delicate paint colors and occasional painted artwork give her pieces a time-worn look that would be beautiful in any style decor from farmhouse to cottage to country and even contemporary and traditional.    See for yourself:

This chest has been transformed using Pantone’s 2013 color of the year, Emerald Green.

A combination of a beautifully stained wood top is accented by the lightly distressed, sage green legs.  Perfect for the entry of a seaside retreat or in any room where a spot of color is desired.

And how about this amazing before and after!  A pair of nightstands that were ready for the thrift shop have been turned into a unique set that is worthy of any french country, shabby chic or traditional home.

I will share more in-depth information about Suzanne and her company, the painted drawer, in an upcoming blog post.  In the meantime, stop by her site and her etsy shop  and revel in the beautiful transformations of her vintage furniture pieces.
